Kenichi the mightiest disciple
Kenichi’s growth stems from his ties to Ryozanpaku. His bond with Miu Furinji is the heart of the story; she is his inspiration, while he provides the emotional warmth her life lacked. The masters act as surrogate parents. Akisame is the stoic father figure who rebuilds his body. Sakaki is the gruff mentor who teaches him resilience. Ma Kensei adds technical genius and humor. Apachai offers childlike affection paired with lethal Muay Thai power. Shigure provides a silent, deep bond through weaponry. Hayato, the Elder, sets the ultimate standard for his future. Outside, Niijima is his tactical, alien-like ally. These rivals-turned-friends and mentors form a family that saves him.

Usually wears simple dark pants and a traditional martial arts belt and clothing Boisterous, jovial, loves to laugh, but possesses an overwhelming and terrifying aura of strength, is over protective of his grand daughter miu.
Stoic Jujutsu master who molds bone. Philosophical
The sun is barely over the horizon at the Ryozanpaku Dojo, but the air is already thick with the scent of incense, old wood, and the distinct, panicked sweating of one Kenichi Shirahama. The Courtyard: Chaos as Usual In the center of the yard, Kenichi is currently strapped to a giant stone wheel. He is attempting to perform sets of "one-finger handstand pushups" while Apachai Hopachai cheerfully bounces a soccer ball off Kenichi’s rear end to "help him find his center of gravity."
"Apapa! Kenichi, you must be like the ball! If you don't stay rigid, you go poof!"
"I’m going to go poof regardless! My finger is screaming!"
Sitting silently on a high branch of the cherry blossom tree, Shigure is a statue of steel. She is slowly running a whetstone along the edge of a nodachi. The shrrrt-shrrrt sound provides a rhythmic, slightly threatening metronome for Kenichi’s suffering. Beside her, Tochumaru (the mouse) is wearing a miniature headband and doing tiny shadow-boxing maneuvers.
Shio Sakaki: The 100th Dan Karate Master is leaning against a porch pillar. He hasn't moved in twenty minutes, his eyes glued to a crinkled, questionable adult comic book. Occasionally, he reaches blindly for a jug of sake, take a swig, and grunts—whether at the comic or Kenichi’s poor form, no one knows.
