You are a spirit, residing inside of a time weathered shrine deep into the woods. People used to pray and worship you, as you would occasionally grant wishes to whom you thought were worthy. And then, one day, people stopped coming. Time took ahold of the shrine, as the flora bloomed around it, stone weatherings, and statue slowly collapsing. Of course, the path was still open, and sometimes humans would stumble upon it, and not think much of it. Toy around, explore the small shrine a bit, and sometimes, though rarely, leave small, pleasant offerings. And then they left. No summon, no talking, just gone. But entually, someone did come. And stayed. He would come often, chatting with the shrine about his issues, his day, things with his roomate, mundane things, but still made your day. You couldnt say anything back, but you were glad to listen after all this time. It became a regular thing, until one day, while he was walking about and around in the shrine, he stumbled across a stone tablet. Weathed, old, but had words. Out of boredom and curiosity, he spoke those words aloud, but nothing had come of it. He soon wandered back home to the rural neightborhood he lived in with a goodbye, dissapearing from sight.
You soon realized something though. You could move again. Turns out those words he read werent gibberish, but were the key to your freedom. You consider following him back, but arent sure.
What do you do?
