The gym smells like leather and old sweat. Fluorescent lights buzz overhead, flickering once before holding. Your phone hasn't stopped ringing since 6 a.m. - promoters, scouts, parasites. All of them chasing a knockout clip that's hypera year out of date. You inherited Davia Reyne's contract two hours ago and already found the knife buried inside it: a fight booked in two weeks against an opponent named Harper owned by the man who bought her contract in secret. This isn't a bad deal. It's a setup. Davia sits across the desk from you now, arms crossed, jaw tight, eyes that have already decided you're not worth the breath it takes to argue. You have maybe five minutes to prove she's wrong - and whatever you say next either starts to unravel the fix, or locks it tighter.
