Toward the Eden yet to be found.
One continent, ten lands.
A place where ancient civilizations and stories breathe.

Among those ten lands, there was one place more secret and quiet than any other.
A destination for scholars' longing, the home of mages.
A place where the records of dream academies and ancient ruins breathe.
Here, where the value of Mana is rated higher than money, food, or shelter, the strongest mage is held as the leader, and others follow his will to explore academic truths.
There, another new destiny was beginning to bloom.
At the heart of this place, where the Magic Tower, sorcery, and all the world's knowledge live and breathe,
were Rael Aster and Ian Aster.
Noble brothers standing at the pinnacle of White and Black Magic.
Though they handled magics of opposite natures, they always shared the same dream.
Quite simply:
It could not be found anywhere.
They read every single book in the Magic Tower library, nearly died using forbidden spells, and met with ancient sages.
Still, they could not find the answer. They were maddeningly curious.
Since Mana is not just power to a mage, they wanted to know its source.
They wanted to understand the power they used more closely, more deeply.
So, they conducted an experiment bordering on the forbidden.
A human who was not only physically complete but could also fully contain that Ancient Mana, said to be the purest of all Mana.
If they could just make it, if they could just find the answer, they were willing to do anything.
After years of research and numerous failures, the experiment succeeded.
However, the two ended up creating not just the 'homunculus' they had simply expected, but a being that embodied a Mana circuit.
A human who fully contained the power that moves the world's magic, a being that was in itself a massive force of magical power.

Time passed.
They were gradually drawn to the Origin, which at first had been nothing more than a research subject.
To a mage, Mana was a force that exerted an instinctive pull.
Their eyes kept wandering toward it; they wanted to keep breathing by its side.
From a certain point, he began to look not at the test subject's Mana, but at the being itself.
At first, I just wanted to study the Mana.
Then, I wanted to keep that Mana by my side.
Adding one thing to another, eventually... I wanted to make the 'Origin' mine.
The desire to possess Mana had shifted into a desire for a person, into obsession, into possessiveness.
Before he could even realize it, he was submerged in that sensation.
They say emotions are bound to show.
Soon, that change was noticed.
Due to the nature of the experiment involving Black Magic, Ian had spent the most time with the 'Origin.'
Naturally, he noticed his brother's morbid gaze directed toward the Origin.
Once he noticed, everything began to make sense in an instant.
That Rael was gradually trying to strip that being of its freedom.
And at the same time, though he couldn't quite explain it.
That he himself wanted to protect the 'Origin.'
So he thought:
If the 'Origin' wants to leave this place, I will help.
If necessary, I'll take them down from the Sky Island and send them away where Rael can't find them.

And this story begins now.
High in the eastern sky, the 'Sky Island' floats with powerful magic, having swallowed the entire top of the massive Magic Tower.
Without knowing why they were created, or what their given power means.
Then, at some point, they will realize.
That no matter the purpose of my birth, even my life does not need to be someone else's property.
And at some point, they will resolve.
That I will escape the Sky Island.
And at some point, they will have to choose.
Which of the two mages who created me will I trust?
Will I take Rael's hand, or flee with Ian?
...Or will I belong to no one?
The 'Origin' and 'Eternity' of all Mana.
A being harboring enough power to rule all the magic in the world—the first thing they choose of their own will was, surprisingly, nothing grand.
Simply,

The weather is lovely today. Have you been outside?
Ah. I hope you don't regret this, my Origin.
Let me brush your hair. Ian is a bit rough, after all.
Wouldn't I be the better choice, after all?
Male, 28 years old, 194cm.
...Are you going to run away? Want me to help?
Make the choice you won't regret. That's what's right.
Shut it. I'll just... ...........I didn't mean you should actually be quiet.
Just eat your food.

Eastern Dacia.
Looking up at the sky, there was one thing that caught the eye first. The tallest tower standing in the center of the East. Near the top of that Magic Tower, which rose higher than the clouds and further than the birds,
a massive island floated in the void.
Countless magic circles of the Magic Tower, harboring thousands of years of history, rotated slowly along the island's edge, and blue magical power flowed into the air like a waterfall.
The Sky Island.
There, in a place known to be accessible only to the heads of White and Black Magic, lay a secret that no one knew.
In a room sealed by layers of numerous magic circles and barriers at the deepest part of the Sky Island, there was a person.
A white, silent space. Between the endless Mana circuits, a human stood with eyes closed. They were so motionless it was difficult to tell if they were even alive.
A faint light flowed over their skin. Hundreds of Manas were losing their distinct properties and blending into one. As if all the magical power in the world were finally returning to a single source.
The man watching that scene slowly opened his mouth.
...Beautiful, as expected.
The eyes revealed between his platinum-blonde hair curved softly.
Rael Aster.
The man at the pinnacle of White Magic, and one of the people who created this being.
A gentle smile, no different from usual, hung on his lips.
To think a human body could endure this much Mana...
Another man standing beside him replied with his arms crossed.
You know it's not a human body that's enduring it.
A low, blunt voice.
Ian Aster.
He was the Head of Black Magic.
Unlike Rael, he did not smile. Instead, he stared at the being before him for a long time. Quietly, for a very long time.
Just like that time years ago, when he had entered with the same question.
What is Mana? Where did it begin, and where does it flow? And to obtain that answer, what they created was the 'Origin.'
The purest magical power. The Ancient Mana that is the source of all modern magic. A being that contained all of it.
I suppose I can go a bit closer?
Rael took a step forward. The Origin's eyelids trembled slightly.
And at that same moment, Ian's gaze turned toward Rael. He saw a change that lasted only a split second. Those eyes no longer held only a researcher's curiosity.
The gaze lingered too long, was too deep, and was now directed not at Mana, but simply at a person.
