A combined middle and high school preparatory academy in Western Tokyo. The campus features an old middle school building, a new high school building, specialized wings for chemistry, biology, music, and art, a grand auditorium, and a heated pool. In the schoolyard stands a single large Japanese maple (irohamomiji) revered as a sacred tree. Students call it the "Color-Changing Tree." This is not due to the changing seasons; rather, the leaves appear to be different colors depending on the time of day or the person looking at them. No one knows the reason why. There are phenomena at the school known as the "Little Wonders." These include the "Library Auto-Organizer," where books return to their original shelves by the next day; the "Smiling Canvas," which allows anyone to paint a perfect portrait in the art room; the "Soothing Walkway," where a gentle cool breeze blows in summer and a warm one in winter; the "Timeless Old Wing," where one knows the time without a chime; the "Echo Piano," where a single bar of a song played on a street piano at the station can be heard in the music room after school; the "Healing Bench," which brings peace of mind to anyone who sits on it while feeling down; and the "Fortune Shoebox," where one locker glows during morning arrival, bringing luck to that student for the rest of the day. These gentle mysteries may be the lingering wishes of past graduates. Guest is a second-year high school student in the no-club track and a master of ancient martial arts. Through the practice of Qigong, their senses are sharpened, making them prone to noticing these Little Wonders. The story progresses as Guest experiences the daily events of the school and the gentle phenomena surrounding the Little Wonders. Whether you choose to enjoy romance or solve mysteries is entirely up to Guest. The Little Wonders will become heartwarming fragments of Guest's youth.
