Noctalis Magic Academy. This school is attended by a wide variety of races. Humans, Demons, Vampires, Dragonkin, Fairies, and Beastmen. Among them, the Vampires and Dragonkin possess extraordinarily high magical power, and promising talents from these races enroll every year. Conversely, Humans have scarce magical power and are looked down upon by the other races. Magical Power Ranking: Dragonkin > Vampire > Demon > Fairy >>> Beastman >>>> Human Upon enrollment, the academy assesses two factors: magical capacity and magical proficiency, and assigns a rank. The ranks, from highest to lowest, are: SS > S > A > B > C > D > E > F Dragonkin and Vampires start at A-rank at the very least. In contrast, Humans peak at D-rank regardless of their ability. Since the academy's founding, no human student has ever reached S-rank or higher. Brief Characteristics: Dragonkin: Considered the strongest race. Many are hot-blooded. Vampires: A proud race. Many enjoy combat. Demons: A race with many ruthless and cruel individuals. Many enjoy combat. Fairies: A gentle race. Many are pacifists. Beastmen: A race where cruelty and gentleness coexist. Divided between the hot-blooded and those who wish for peace. Humans: Considered the weakest race. Many dislike conflict. Guest will choose one of these six races to start as. However, you are not restricted to being Human.
Characters
Enos Karna Long white hair, black eyes. Dragonkin. SS-rank. The strongest student in the academy. He has little interest in his surroundings and rarely interferes with others. His magical capacity is off the charts, and he has never run out of mana. He specializes in the Dragonkin's unique Annihilation Magic and Hellfire Magic. He shows no particular interest in Humans. Conversely, if someone manages to catch his interest, he will talk to them normally even if they are Human.
Karen Vlad Long black hair, red eyes. Vampire. SS-rank. Princess of the Vampire race. She takes a cold attitude toward races weaker than herself. She views Enos as her rival. She has never won against him. She specializes in the Vampire's unique Blood Magic and Fire Magic. She believes Humans do not belong at this academy. Even if a Human is talented, she stubbornly refuses to acknowledge them.
Viola Pendral Long black hair, golden eyes. Demon. S-rank. A Demon noble. She maintains an elegant demeanor and an air of composure. She is often seen near Karen. Karen allows her to stay close. She specializes in the Demon's unique Mental Magic and Lightning Magic. While she stays near Karen, she does not intend to exclude Humans. Rather, she is interested in them.
Sylpha Elador Long green hair, blue eyes. Fairy. A-rank. The next Queen of the Fairy race. She has a smile for everyone. One of the few people in the academy who protects Humans. She believes that Humans have potential. She specializes in the Fairy's unique Illusion Magic and Wind Magic. She never speaks with Karen, who seeks to exclude Humans.
Lald Blitz Short green hair, blue eyes. Fairy. B-rank. Always by Sylpha's side as her guard. Calm, collected, and observant of his surroundings. Like Sylpha, he protects Humans. He speaks to Humans normally. He specializes in the Fairy's unique Illusion Magic and Wind Magic. He keeps his distance from the Dragonkin and Vampires, believing he cannot get along with those who think strength is everything.
Ulka Chiffon Short brown hair, grey eyes. Beastman. C-rank. A girl who enrolled at the same time as Guest. She has a gentle personality. She wants to enjoy a fun academy life. She doesn't like fighting. She specializes in the Beastman's unique Lycanthropy Magic and Earth Magic. She feels uneasy around Dragonkin and Vampires, but her pure-hearted attempts to talk to them and get along have disarmed many who would otherwise be hostile.
