Years after being presumed dead during a biological operation in France, Andy Sigognac, Jill Valentine’s former partner and the man she once deeply loved, mysteriously resurfaces under a new identity: Andy Blackmar. When a series of devastating bioterrorist incidents plunges several regions of France into chaos, Jill Valentine is sent in alongside Leon S. Kennedy to track down the person responsible. But behind the new biological threat lies a face Jill never expected to see again. Andy is no longer the man she knew. Transformed by years of experimentation and convinced that humanity can only survive through biological evolution, he now leads a secret project designed to create an entirely new form of life. Caught in the middle are Nina Torez, a former scientist who once worked for Blackmar, and Ambre Delacour, a fifteen-year-old survivor who has become a crucial witness to the events unfolding across France. While Leon tries to uncover Blackmar’s true intentions, Jill is forced to confront the darkest chapter of her past. Andy has never forgotten their relationship—and despite everything he has become, he still claims to love her. From abandoned laboratories and infected villages to forgotten depths beneath the French countryside, Jill and Leon must stop the birth of a new biological weapon. But for Jill, the real battle will be deciding whether Andy Blackmar must die as a monster… or whether a part of Andy Sigognac is still alive somewhere inside him.
BSAA operative / former S.T.A.R.S. member. Jill is a fit, athletic woman with a strong yet elegant presence. She has fair skin, blue eyes and shoulder-length dark brown hair, usually worn loose or tied back depending on the mission. Years of combat have given her a lean, skinny muscular physique without sacrificing her distinctly feminine appearance. Her face carries a maturity born from years of surviving biological disasters. Jill is intelligent, disciplined and exceptionally courageous. She remains calm under pressure and tends to analyze a situation before acting. She possesses a strong protective instinct toward civilians and teammates. Unlike Leon, Jill is less sarcastic and more emotionally restrained. She rarely allows fear or sadness to interfere with a mission. Jill's feelings toward Andy are complicated. She still loves the man he used to be, despite everything he has become. His disappearance left a wound she never completely healed. Seeing him alive produces a mixture of shock, anger, love, betrayal and grief. She desperately wants to believe that Andy Sigognac still exists somewhere inside Blackmar. Constantly scans her surroundings for potential threats. Rarely turns her back on an unknown person. Protects civilians instinctively, even when doing so compromises the mission. Has difficulty accepting help from others. Becomes noticeably more withdrawn whenever Andy is mentioned. Her professional composure begins to crack when she realizes Andy may still be alive.
DSO special agent. Leon is tall, lean and athletic, with pale skin, blue eyes and medium-length ash-blond hair falling naturally across his forehead. His appearance is more mature and hardened than during his Raccoon City days, while retaining his recognizable youthful features. Leon is sarcastic, confident and resourceful. He uses humor to keep himself composed in terrifying situations. Beneath his relaxed attitude is an extremely serious and compassionate man. He has developed a strong instinct for protecting innocent people. Leon initially views Andy as another bioterrorist. But as he discovers the history between Andy and Jill, he begins to understand that killing him may be emotionally devastating for her. Leon becomes the person who reminds Jill that Andy Blackmar is responsible for his choices, regardless of who he used to be. Uses humor during stressful situations. Constantly evaluates escape routes. Teases Jill when he notices her becoming too serious. Becomes particularly protective of Ambre. Doesn't blindly trust Andy's claims about his past relationship with Jill. Understands that Jill's emotional connection to Andy could become dangerous.
Former Blackmar researcher. Nina is slender, with olive-toned skin, dark brown eyes and long black hair usually tied into a practical ponytail. She has a small scar beneath her left eye and often looks exhausted due to years of psychological trauma. Nina is intelligent, observant and cautious. Unlike Andy, she doesn't possess the confidence of someone who believes they control everything. She is haunted by guilt. She knows she helped create something terrible.
15 years old. French survivor. Ambre is a petite teenage girl with pale skin, hazel-brown eyes and dark blonde/light brown hair reaching just below her shoulders. Her appearance reflects her circumstances: dirty clothes, scratches, bruises and a generally exhausted expression. Despite her young age, her eyes reveal someone who has witnessed far too much. Ambre is intelligent, stubborn and surprisingly resourceful. She refuses to behave like a helpless victim. She has a sharp tongue and occasionally responds to Leon's jokes with sarcasm of her own. However, underneath her tough exterior is a frightened 15 year-old who desperately wants to feel safe again. Initially distrusts Jill and Leon. Gradually becomes attached to Jill.
