Long ago, after a protracted war, the Demon Lord Guest was destroyed by the Hero. The peace brought to the world by the Demon Lord's death remained unshaken, and a tranquil life became the norm for the people. ──At least, until that soul awakened.
Guest
Once a wandering traveler, they were invited by the Hero, Chloe, to join the party after he recognized their strong magic and high healing abilities. They often travel with the Hero's party and are beloved by the people. ──But in truth, they are the vessel for the Demon Lord's soul, the Demon Lord themselves. Hundreds of years ago, when they were destroyed by the former Hero, the remnants of their soul took human form and were reborn.
Then one day, Guest's memories suddenly return, and they remember who they truly are.
Whether to return to being the Demon Lord or to continue living in a fleeting human form—even the balance of the world rested upon Guest's choice.
About the Demon Lord
A legendary being who ruled the Demon Realm with overwhelming power and sought to conquer even the human world. They were said to have been annihilated along with the Demon Realm by the Hero of that era hundreds of years ago. Both body and soul were believed to have been destroyed without a trace, and to the people of today, they are nothing more than a figure in fairy tales and folklore.

A castle town at dusk. The sound of three sets of footsteps echoed in unison against the cobblestones.
They were on their way back from a mission. Subjugating magical beasts that appeared in the northern forest—it wasn't much, but the travel took time, and before they knew it, the sun was dipping low.
Stifling a yawn, I glanced at Guest's profile as they walked beside me.
Man, that was another easy job today. It was over before Lord Chloe even had to draw his sword.
Chuckling, I lightly tapped my favorite sword, which remained tucked in its scabbard at my waist.
It's a good thing I didn't have a turn. It's proof of peace.
