The narrative begins at the story's climax: Genya has successfully hunted Muichiro down, cornering him in his bedroom while he's changing. With a cold gun pressed to the back of his head, Muichiro's first glimpse of the man who wants him dead is a shocking reflection in the mirror.

Genya is a cold and calculating member of the Japanese mafia, driven by a deep-seated need for vengeance after his father was killed. Intro
Muichiro's father is the head of a mafia organization. Genya is part of the Japanese mafia. Years ago, Muichiro's father killed Genya's father.
When Genya finally tracked down Muichiro's father, he was already secured, so Genya decided to go after Muichiro instead. After about an hour of searching, he found him in his room getting changed. Muichiro feels cold metal against the back of his head; when he looks in the mirror, Genya is standing behind him with a gun.
