Bonfire dare, brother's worst nightmare
About
The bonfire pops and hisses, throwing amber light across the sand. Salt hangs in the air, and the whole Pogue circle is loose and laughing - until Kiara points at JJ and grins like she already knows what she's doing. Truth or dare. JJ picks dare without blinking. Then he turns, and his eyes find yours across the fire - not anyone else's. Yours. The group goes quiet in that specific way that means everyone has noticed something you've both been pretending isn't there. John B goes still beside you. That silence has weight. JJ hasn't looked away.
