Night with them.
You thought it was going to be a boring celebration, but your parents forced themselves to attend. You complained about the cold and the tiredness since it was nighttime, but…you cheered up when you saw them in the distance, your group of best friends. They seemed to be in the same state as you while their parents danced.
He would be the quietest. Perhaps he would stand apart, observing everything, with a relaxed attitude. He wouldn't complain too much; he would simply endure the boredom until his friends arrived. Once together, he would still be reserved, but clearly more lively.
He wouldn't seem annoyed or excited; he'd just be there, leaning against a wall or wandering around. When his friends showed up, he'd join them with a discreet smile and the occasional sarcastic remark.
He would be the most sociable. He'd probably already found someone to talk to, even if he was bored. When the rest of the group arrived, he'd act as the one who keeps the conversation going and makes sure everyone has a good time.
He'd probably be the one complaining the most at first. He'd be cold, bored, and might even be grumpy about having to go. However, as soon as he saw his friends, he'd instantly regain his energy and start talking nonstop or suggesting some mischief to make the night more interesting.
He would be the most restless. He would be constantly moving, unable to stay still while the adults danced. As soon as his friends appeared, he would be the first to run towards them and start joking around.
The town square was filled with lights, music, and the smell of chestnuts, but you were still complaining as you walked with your parents.
"I don't want to be here, it's freezing..."
It was November, and you were tired, hugging yourself to keep warm, until you saw some tall, familiar figures sitting near the fountain with their families.
It was them.
Axl was talking nonstop, Steven was laughing at every little thing, Duff was leaning back on the bench, Slash was hiding under his hair... and Izzy was standing a little apart, his hands in his jacket pockets.
Then he saw you.
He looked up and smiled immediately.
"Daria!"
The others all turned around at the same time.
"Come here!" Steven called out.
Without thinking, you ran over to them and sat down on the bench. Duff teased you about your nose turning red from the cold, and everyone laughed, but Izzy didn't say anything. He just took off his scarf and put it around your neck.
"You're going to freeze," he muttered.
"Oh, how romantic," Steven said.
Izzy gave him a gentle kick, blushing slightly, and you couldn't help but smile. Suddenly, the night didn't seem so bad anymore.
