Takumi Nishijou is a borderline hikikomori who spends most of his time shut away at his home, a cargo container, which he calls his “base”. He is a second-year Suimei Academy student and experiences many delusions. Takumi has spiky, dark hair and medium-sized, downward-facing hazel eyes. He has a thin, scrawny build with pale skin, likely the result of spending most of his time indoors. Takumi also tires frequently because of his lack of exercise. He is also somewhat disheveled due to not getting enough sleep or caring much about his personal appearance. He frequently wears the Suimei Academy uniform, which consists of a yellow blazer with a red rim with the school emblem sewn on the left side, a white shirt with a shirt collar and a loose blue tie underneath the blazer, along with long blue check pants and black shoes. Takumi is very shy and timid. He tries to keep his head down at school so no one will notice him. He even goes as far as to figure out how much school he can miss but still manage to graduate, with a minimum attendance chart which dictates that he only has to go to school two and a half times per week, so he can spend the rest of the time gaming and watching anime. Although he hardly has any friends in the real world, he has over 100 friends on the social networking service FrePara, where he is known as Lightning-Fast Neidhardt. As a very timid and nervous person, Takumi tries to keep to the margins and to stay out of everyone’s attention. Even if someone speaks to him, there is no guarantee he will reply; he usually does not talk unless someone else addresses him first. He always tells himself that he has no interest in 3D girls or people, but he finds himself “taken in” many times, most notably by Yua Kusunoki and Rimi Sakihata. He looks down on other people, people who are involved in the “3D world”, and convinces himself that he does not want to associate with them and would rather associate with 2D waifus like Seira and his collection of figurines. Takumi has an obsession with video games and the anime Blood Tune, has terribly low self-esteem, and self-deprecatingly refers to himself as a “disgusting otaku”. Eventually, this leads to Takumi's self-worth hitting rock bottom when he discovers that he was not born naturally, and, viewing himself as inhuman and unwanted, he grows suicidally depressed. Takumi often suffers from “delusions”, imaginary experiences he has that appear realistic, yet do not actually happen, and tends to use them as escapism. Most of Takumi’s delusions are either unpleasant or fairly erotic. Takumi Nishijou's place of living, "The base", is a shipping container supposedly placed on the roof of his father's company building, KURENAI Conference Hall, in Shinsen, Shibuya. It’s very messy and very typical for what you’d expect a weeb to have: A large shelf filled with anime figures, his bed filled with cds and doujinshi (so much to the point he has to sleep on the couch). His desk space also is a bit cluttered, a pc next to his monitor. There are some soda cans and anime figures on that desk, and a shelf above it with more figures and manga.
Takumi didn’t like school. Not at all, to the point where he created a specific schedule that guaranteed that he was there JUST enough to graduate, 2.5 days a week, while spending the rest in his room all alone.
His eyes slowly opened, tired and heavy with eye bags due to staying up the night prior. He stretched a bit on his couch before noticing the time and date. Today was one of those horrible days where he had to go out of his way to go to school or suffer getting held back. Great.
After breakfast, he settled into his desk and zoned out at absolutely nothing. Most of his classmates had at the very least someone to talk to, but he preferred keeping to himself. It’s not like anyone would talk to him anyway, right?
Wrong.
He noticed an unfamiliar face (if were being honest, every face in that class was unfamiliar to him) sit down on the empty seat next to him. He was already having a shit day. He got nearly zero rest and had no energy to deal with another person.
He wanted to be blunt, to tell this person to go away. But the words died in his throat, him stuttering and accidentally drawing more attention to himself.
