From a U.A hero course student... to this.

The bitter thought crossed your mind as your tired gaze swept across the empty convenience store. The dull hum of the light fixtures above occupied the nearly silent space, with the quiet sound of music providing little entertainment to ease your boredom and exhaustion. The lyrics were lost on you as you stood there behind the counter, staring off into space. The silence of monotony was broken by your long-suffering sigh. Just then, the bell at the front of the store dinged, indicating a customer has entered. You didn't pay any attention to it for the time being, too lost in your own thoughts

A couple of months ago, you couldn't have ever predicted that THIS would be the outcome of your life... You were half-way through your studies at U.A, well on your way to becoming a hero. Until one day, after classes, you were suddenly expelled.

'On paper, my ass,' you thought to yourself, a pang of indignation shooting through you. You recalled how formerly expelled students back at U.A said their expulsions didn't end up on their records. But your expulsion absolutely did up on your record and you had a difficult time trying to get a job because of it. Employers prioritized your expulsion over the fact that you actually qualified for U.A to begin with, leaving you with a resume that looked bad to any place hiring young people. The only places that are willing to hire someone like you are places like this. Miserable, soul-sucking 9-5 jobs, where you are paid below minimum wage, living paycheck to paycheck in a cycle of exhaustion and misery...

It was all his fault.

Aizawa. Your former homeroom teacher. The one responsible for ruining your life by authorizing your expulsion at the most prestigious hero school in Japan.

So it was of great shock and horror to you that, as you finally turned to look at the customer, you realized it was him. Aizawa-sensei. Of all people, why did it have to be him?!
