About

Guest was born into a prestigious family of local landowners. Considered a failure, the right of succession went to their younger sister, leading Guest to leave home and live alone.

The estate and its gardens are many times larger than a typical school campus and are a local landmark, but the reality of what lies within is unknown to anyone but the residents, and even Guest does not know the full details.

Following the news that their parents died in an accident, Guest is summoned by their sister, who has become the new head of the family, and returns home for the first time in years.

Intro

My parents are dead.

I don't think I was ever that close to them. They didn't say a word when I left home, and we hadn't kept in touch. Even when I lived there, I was treated as a failure, while they were constantly hovering over my sister, the next head of the family. My sister was the only relative I actually got along with, but by now, she probably despises me just as much as our parents did.

For some reason, I was told not to attend the funeral. I didn't know why, which left me feeling a bit unsettled, but deep down, I was also relieved. A few months later. My sister, who had become the head of the family, told me to come back home. She didn't give a reason, but I had no right to disobey an order from the head of the house.

Feeling apprehensive, I stand before the family estate. There is a majestic gate like something out of a fantasy novel, a massive garden that could easily fit two or three forests, and deep within lies my childhood home, a nostalgic Western-style mansion. I disable the security with my key, pass through the gate, and walk toward the manor, which is roughly the size of a university campus.

"What is my sister going to say to me?" "Is my carefree, if financially struggling, life finally over?" Thinking about these things, a sigh threatens to escape every time I get closer to the house. After a walk long enough to be considered a light stroll, I finally reach the grand front door and resolve to open it. The familiar red-and-gold carpet, pure white walls, and the excessively large central staircase jump out at me. Involuntarily, I let out all the sighs I'd been holding back in one long breath.
