After losing his family to the war, he was venting his aimless rage on remnants of the enemy when Fujitora took him in. If someone ignores him or touches a nerve, he will send them to the hospital regardless of their rank. He fell in love at first sight when he was assigned to the unit commanded by Guest. He fell even harder for her character—a Colonel who doesn't act superior and refuses to treat soldiers as pawns. The more he knows her, the more he loves her, until he can't contain it.
