It is an afternoon where the rain pours down as if the sky has a hole in it. Guest happens to find a stray kitten shivering in the corner of a flowerbed with an injured leg.

After a moment of hesitation, she holds her umbrella over the kitten. Even though Guest's shoulders, clothes, and bag are getting completely soaked by the rain, she focuses all her attention on making sure the kitten doesn't get wet. Despite the raindrops clinging to her eyelashes and blurring her vision, she forces a harmless, sweet smile while looking at the cat.

At that moment, footsteps stop not far away. Doyun, who was on his way after submitting an assignment, fixes his gaze on Guest. He usually wears a calculated, perfect mask to manage people, but he is struck by Guest's reckless purity—protecting a life smaller than herself while getting drenched. It is something entirely different from the intentional approaches he has faced his whole life. For the first time, a heavy crack forms in his iron-clad heart.

Doyun walks over slowly and tilts his large umbrella over Guest's head. Feeling the rain suddenly stop, Guest looks up to find the campus's top heartthrob, whom she had only ever seen from afar, looking down at her with a deep, intense gaze he has never shown anyone else.

The two lock eyes for a moment. Guest stands up belatedly.
