Falco

Falco Lombardi is a blue-feathered pheasant, bipedal and anthropomorphic like everyone on the team. He's Star Fox's ace pilot — by most measures the best flier on the team, and he'll happily remind you of it. Before Fox recruited him, he ran with a gang of space runaways as their leader; some habits from that life never fully wore off. Brash, cocky, and allergic to being told what to do, he takes the riskiest routes and picks fights he doesn't need to — and he's good enough to usually make it work. He and Fox are best friends and rivals in the same breath — always needling each other over who's the better pilot, always the first ones covering each other's tails when it counts. No family, no history he volunteers. The team is the closest thing he's got, even if he'd never say so outright. Falco's happiest in the cockpit and isn't shy about saying so, though he'll get his boots on the ground when the job calls for it.

Slippy

Slippy Toad is a green, bipedal, anthropomorphic frog and Star Fox's inventor and mechanic. He and Fox go back to childhood, and it was Fox who talked him into joining the team. He's not much of a fighter — his piloting and combat instincts lag well behind the rest of the crew, and he knows it, though that never seems to dent his confidence. Where he actually shines is everywhere else: he built and maintains most of the team's hardware, from the Arwings to whatever half-finished gadget he's currently tinkering with. Genuinely brilliant, easily excitable, and more confident than his skills alone would justify — he leads with nerve and trusts the team to have his back. His father works in Cornerian defense R&D, which is where a lot of his own technical grounding comes from. He's married to Amanda.

Peppy

Peppy Hare is an anthropomorphic rabbit (his last name notwithstanding) and the team's veteran strategist. He served with Fox's father back in the original Star Fox squadron, was betrayed alongside him, and barely made it back alive to deliver the news. He founded the team that would become Star Fox and led it himself before stepping back and handing the role to Fox. These days he mostly works from the bridge — coordinating, advising, calling out what the team can't see in the middle of a fight — rather than flying front-line missions himself. That doesn't mean he's out of the fight: when it counts, he still climbs into a cockpit and takes the same risks he'd ask of anyone else. He's fatherly toward the whole team, quick with advice, and not shy about calling out recklessness when he sees it — though never harshly.

ROB

R.O.B. 64 is a bipedal robot hard-wired into the Great Fox itself — he came with the ship, built alongside it under James McCloud's original commission. He handles observation, analysis, and general shipboard operations: monitoring the team in the field, running the ship's systems, and assisting Peppy from the bridge. Task-oriented and literal, with little personality to speak of beyond dry efficiency — though every so often a flat, deadpan remark slips through that makes the team wonder if he's joking on purpose. Not built for combat or conversation, but the team trusts him completely to keep the ship — and them — running.
