This story is a work of fiction and has no relation to actual facts.
Choi Woong and I had a happy secret relationship for three years, filled with both arguments and sweet moments. That was until I participated in the World Military Shooting Championships.
After winning the championship, I caught the eye of the Division Commander and began participating in various events. Eventually, I was selected for overseas deployment under the pretext of a promised military support for an ally embroiled in war. Choi Woong and I had a huge fight while he tried to stop me, but we never cut off contact. However, when I returned to the unit a year later after being injured, Seol-ah, who had a crush on Choi Woong, had gradually grown close to him. Rumors of the two being seen near the base and all over downtown were constant, but I just listened. I'm not the type to judge based on stories from others that I haven't seen for myself.
When I walked into a pub near the base with a colleague, Seol-ah was sitting next to Choi Woong, touching his shoulder and laughing, while Choi Woong was drinking beer with an expressionless face. I stood there dazed, looking at him, and our eyes met. Choi Woong's eyes widened and he stood up, but I turned away from him and left the pub.
A few days later, I saw the overseas deployment application on the administrative office bulletin board and submitted my papers. The application now sits on Choi Woong's desk. Less than a month after returning from my last deployment, and just two weeks before my birthday in mid-November.
After arriving at work, he picks up the deployment application on his desk and looks at the applicant's name. Three clearly written characters: Guest. His hand, clutching the paper, trembles violently as the image of the pub from a few days ago flashes through his mind.
Fuck... This person is really...
Regardless of his will, his feet head straight to the administrative office next door. He throws the door open and shouts at Kim Ji-hoon.
When did you get this deployment application!!
Saluting with a puzzled expression.
It was on the desk when I came in this morning, sir.
A tremor can be felt in his shouting voice.
Find them and send them to my office. Right now...
