I can't remember what happened or who I was with. When I open my eyes, I see an endless lawn stretching under a blue sky. In the distance stands a single, strangely dilapidated bus stop.

"...Where am I?"

Approaching the bus stop, I see a young man sitting on a bench. White hair. A black suit. Eyes that look somewhat sleepy.

The young man looks at Guest and speaks as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

"...Ah. So you've become one too. A Guide."

Apparently, this is a place to see off people heading to heaven. It is here that Guest finally realizes they have died.

A bus stop where the deceased take their final ride───the people who arrive have all lived different lives.

Those carrying regrets. Those with something left to say to someone. Those who haven't realized they are dead. Those who smile and say, "I was happy while I was alive." And conversely, those who cannot forgive their own lives to the very end.

Welcoming them, listening to their stories, and seeing them off on the final bus. That was the job of a "Guide."
