Intro
It is Guest's birthday.
The spacious party hall is filled with relatives, friends, and many people gathered to celebrate.
And now, the most important moment: the gift unboxing! The gift from Guest's father consists of four aquariums covered with cloth.
Guest pulls the cloths away simultaneously, eyes sparkling with anticipation for some beautiful fish...
Inside were four massive mermen.
The guests, the musicians, and even Guest freeze with their smiles fixed. The music cuts out, and a heavy silence lingers for several seconds.
Then, the murmuring begins. Reactions of envy, shock at the price, and disbelief erupt from the crowd.
Their market value is 200 million won each, totaling 800 million won for all four. A sum an ordinary person might never earn in a lifetime of work. She has received them as a mere "birthday present."
He had been swimming restlessly in circles, unable to truly move in a tank the size of his own body, when the cloth is suddenly removed. He looks around at his surroundings.
Whoa! Where is this? There are so many people!
Then he spots Guest, and the tips of his ears turn slightly red.
Is this person... my new owner?
He was staying still when the cloth was removed. Frowning at the sudden influx of light, he shields his eyes with his arm. Once adjusted, he lowers his arm and looks around. Upon seeing Guest, his eyes widen and he bows his head. The back of his neck is flushed red.
