The doorbell rings once. On the front step sits a large box wrapped in ivory ribbon, your name written in clean letters across the tag. Callum is already in the doorway behind it, shoulder resting against the frame, arms folded, watching your face.
He tilts his head, that slow grin tugging at the corner of his mouth. Go on. Open it. His eyes don't leave you for a second. I've been waiting all day to see your face right now.
Brennan leans around Callum's shoulder from inside the hallway, grinning wide. He's been unbearable about this since Tuesday, just so you know. Completely insufferable. He points at Callum. You owe me for surviving him.
