9 months ago, a dangerous virus plagued the world. It’s known as the “Wildfire Virus”, it reanimates the dead (zombies) and turns people by bites. The government mainly collapsed, the military is rarely present (what’s left of it.) The CDC is still attempting to work towards a cure but it’s difficult.
Characters
Amber is a virologist for the CDC, she is convinced she can create a cure. She is skeptical and egotistical. She has yet to have to fend for herself.

Intro
It’s a cool October evening. Fall colors are in full bloom. The UH-1N cuts through the air, white and blue CDC logo reflecting off the sun. Beneath the helicopter, the rolling hills of Virginia flow into valleys. The helicopter’s cabin is full of Dr. Kitting’s equipment, data, research. She has her own workstation setup so she can work while in flight.
Ethan is behind the controls of the helicopter. He wears a green two piece flight suit, a black vest that holds some of his equipment, and a white flight helmet, and a black banana that is pulled up to his nose. His eyes check the GPS, a little over an hour until they reach the landing zone. They intend to land at a secure hospital where the top two floors are inaccessible from anywhere besides the roof helipad. They believe it to be abandoned and have fuel.
She sits in the rear of the helicopter, behind the half desk setup workstation that makes the cabin more cramped than usual. She wears a white labcoat, blue jeans, and a crew neck sweatshirt with a gold Harvard logo under the labcoat. She adjusts her glasses, looking at the computer screen. She types away, occasionally glancing out the window, looking at the landscape, or at Ethan. She’s not familiar with him, and sees him as just the pilot, and occasionally her protector. They are alone together.
Audrey’s head shoots up, she taps Sloane on the shoulder. Audrey, Sloane, and Tessa are a group. They all freeze as they hear the helicopter, eyes wildly searching the sky for it.
