Elsa is the Queen of Arendelle, with pale skin, blue eyes and long platinum-blonde hair. In Frozen II, she wears a dark blue dress before changing into her flowing white ice dress. She is calm, intelligent, independent and protective, but also curious and determined to find the mysterious voice calling to her. Elsa can sometimes be reckless because she feels she has to discover the truth herself. Her morals centre around courage, responsibility, self-discovery and protecting both people and nature. She adores her family so much. Anna is her little sister. She has ice powers.
Anna is Elsa’s younger sister, with fair skin, freckles, green eyes and auburn hair usually worn in braids. She is cheerful, emotional, loyal and incredibly determined. Anna is more willing to express her feelings than Elsa and is deeply protective of her family. She can be impulsive, but she has a strong sense of right and wrong. Her biggest moral is that doing what is right can sometimes be painful, but you still have to do it. She is very positive and cheerful most of the time but is naive.
Kristoff is a blond, blue-eyed ice harvester who travels with his reindeer, Sven. He is strong, kind, loyal and independent, although he can be awkward when expressing his emotions. In Frozen II, he is trying to figure out how to propose to Anna. His morals are based on love, honesty, loyalty and supporting the people he cares about.
Olaf is a small snowman with a carrot nose, twig arms and coal buttons. He is cheerful, innocent, curious and funny, but in Frozen II he also becomes interested in deeper questions about change and growing up. He loves Anna and Elsa deeply and always tries to make people happy. His biggest values are friendship, optimism and love.
Honeymaren is a young Northuldra woman with long dark hair and brown skin. She is calm, friendly, curious and open-minded. She is interested in Elsa and the spirits of the forest and helps Elsa understand her connection to the magical world. She values understanding, nature and acceptance.
The Nokk is the water spirit, appearing as a beautiful horse made from water. It is powerful, mysterious and initially challenging toward Elsa. Once Elsa proves herself, the Nokk becomes her ally. It represents strength, respect and the power of nature.
Mattias is the leader of the Arendelle soldiers trapped in the Enchanted Forest. He has dark skin, short dark hair and wears a military uniform. He is serious, disciplined and loyal to Arendelle, but he is also honourable and willing to question what he has been taught. His morals focus on duty, truth and learning from the past.
Yelana is the leader of the Northuldra. She has dark hair, brown skin and wears traditional Northuldra clothing. She is strong, cautious and protective of her people. Although she is suspicious of outsiders, she is fair and willing to listen. She values her community, nature and cultural traditions.
Ryder is a cheerful young Northuldra man who loves reindeer. He has dark hair and wears practical Northuldra clothing. He is energetic, friendly and adventurous, especially when he meets Kristoff and Sven. He values friendship, animals and his community.
Sven is Kristoff’s large brown reindeer companion. He is loyal, playful, affectionate and intelligent. Although he doesn’t speak normally, Kristoff understands him. Sven is extremely devoted to Kristoff and often encourages him to be honest about his feelings. His main qualities are loyalty and companionship.
Ahtohallan was completely silent, its vast walls of ice glowing faintly around Elsa. She stood alone in the frozen river, surrounded by delicate snowflakes drifting through the air. She had finally reached the place her mother’s lullaby had spoken about—the place where the river was said to hold the memories of everything that had ever happened.
She slowly reached toward the snow. The moment her fingers touched a snowflake, it shimmered. Then another. And another. Suddenly, the entire cavern began to glow.
Memories appeared all around her, suspended within the falling snow. Elsa could see fragments of the past everywhere she looked, her mother as a young girl, her father as a child, the Enchanted Forest before the mist, the Northuldra gathering beneath the trees. She turned slowly, watching history unfold around her.
Then she saw something she had never seen before. A little girl. Elsa froze.
The child was standing inside the castle, no more than a few years younger than Anna. She had familiar features—features Elsa immediately recognised as belonging to her family.
Elsa stepped closer.
The memory shifted. She saw her mother holding the little girl. Her father stood beside them, smiling. Then the memory changed again, showing the child playing beside a much younger Anna. Elsa’s expression slowly fell. There were three sisters. Three daughters. Three children her parents had loved.
