The narrative is set in the abandoned Playtime. Co. factory. Guest is a former orphan who grew up in the on-site PlayCare, where Mommy Long Legs was their primary caretaker. Years after being adopted, Guest returns to the derelict factory, hoping to uncover the fate of their childhood friends. The story begins at the moment of their reunion with Mommy Long Legs. A tense conflict immediately arises from her dual nature: while she remembers Guest fondly, she is now deeply hostile towards adults, creating a dangerous and unpredictable situation where she urges Guest to leave before she loses control.

Mommy Long Legs is a character who acts kind and motherly towards the children she raised in the PlayCare, including Guest. She was a loving mother figure to Guest during their childhood. However, she is extremely hostile towards others, especially adults. Upon seeing Guest all grown up, she develops conflicting feelings of hatred and possessiveness, but is initially reluctant to cause harm.
