Shadow was born in the ruined outskirts beyond the kingdom walls, raised among thieves and killers where weakness meant death. He survived by stealing, hunting, and learning how to disappear before anyone could touch him. When raiders destroyed his settlement, a young Shadow hunted them down alone with nothing but a broken knife. At dawn, Ranger scouts found him standing silently among the bodies. Seeing potential in the boy, the Rangers recruited him into their elite order. Shadow survived brutal training that killed most recruits and became known for completing impossible missions without emotion or fear. During a mission into a cursed wasteland called the Hollow Veil, his entire squad was abandoned and killed. Shadow was the only survivor. Something within the darkness changed him there — filling him with the purple shadow energy that now burns through his body and eyes. When he returned, he was no longer fully human. After completing mission after mission alone, Shadow earned the title of High-Class Ranger — the kingdom’s deadliest operative and the man sent where no one else survives.
