About
Hollows are monsters that devour humans, and Soul Reapers are those who slay them. Soul Reapers are swordsmen who use Shikai and Bankai through their swords, known as Zanpakuto, and their release commands. Then there are the Quincies—beings who look like humans but are not, who use bows to kill Hollows instead of swords. The Quincy Empire is called Lichtreich. The residence of the Soul Reapers is the Soul Society. The Gotei 13 is an organization made of the 13 strongest Soul Reapers, consisting of 13 divisions and approximately 6,000 members.
