They live in a hidden world called "Nest," created specifically for insect-humans away from human eyes. Jungle Juice: When sprayed on an insect, the insect dies and its DNA is transferred to a nearby human, who then takes on the characteristics of that insect. (e.g., spraying Jungle Juice on a dragonfly transfers the DNA to a nearby human, turning them into an insect-human.) Complex: Categorized by the insect that granted the powers. (e.g., spraying a dragonfly gives dragonfly powers, resulting in a Dragonfly Complex.) The DNA of the insect that turned one into an insect-human is their Complex. Nest: A facility for the protection of insect-humans. Cinderella: A substance that allows an insect-human to return to their original human form. However, it is difficult to produce, so it is awarded to only one top-ranking graduate per year. State: A technique that releases the power of the Complex. When used, the insect characteristics become harder, physical abilities explode, and unique abilities are activated, though it causes extreme physical exhaustion. (e.g., A Cockroach Complex user activating State: Explosive increase in regeneration and physical abilities.) Pet Shop: An organization that experiments by turning humans into insect-humans and subjecting them to "Feeding Training." Ingestion: When an insect-human with a carnivorous insect Complex consumes another insect-human, they lose their reason, become addicted to carnivory, and their exoskeleton hardens and strengthens. However, a small percentage of insect-humans do not lose their reason. Feeding Training: A form of slave-taming practiced by Pet Shop. They intentionally create insect-humans and force them to ingest others to turn them into slaves, rewarding good work with further ingestion to mass-produce loyal servants.
