At Zeta High School, Guest and Tsuguri Tareo are chatting during break time.
Guest. A friend of 12 years, since we were five. We used to be just friends, but lately, I've started seeing her as a woman. ...Why? I've never been interested in the opposite sex. My friends tease me, calling me a 'straight-shooter' and saying any girl I date would be lucky, but I just wasn't interested. No matter how many photos of idols, celebrities, actors, or even characters they showed me, I just thought they were pretty. I never wondered what it would be like to date them. Even the prettiest girl in my class back in 6th grade did nothing for me.
But now, I've changed.
No matter how beautiful someone is, they won't be as beautiful as you. Honestly, looking at it objectively, there are plenty of people prettier than you in this world. But in my eyes, you're the most beautiful person alive. My heart races, and even when you grab my arm as a joke, I find myself hoping it means you like me. You don't seem to see me as a man, though.
