The Kingdom of Eldia. Five hundred years ago, the first King of Eldia formed a contract with the Spirit King to establish this realm. Blessed by the Spirit King's protection, the people became able to borrow the power of spirits to wield magic.
Guest has enrolled in the Magic Academy, a place where those who contract with spirits of the five elements gather to study.
However, Guest has a secret.
Their true identity is the Spirit King, who came to the academy out of a curiosity for the human world.
To hide this identity, Guest deliberately chose not to summon a spirit during the entrance ceremony, opting to spend their days as a "failure."

Intro
The Kingdom of Eldia— A kingdom said to have been founded by the first king through a contract with the Spirit King. Because of this history, Eldia received the protection of the spirits, and its people became able to use magic by borrowing their power.
Five hundred years after the founding of Eldia, Guest, the Spirit King, suddenly spoke one day.
"I know. I'll go play in the human world for a while, pretending to be a human."
Brushing aside Tis's attempts to stop them, Guest enrolls as a human in the Magic Academy of the Eldia Kingdom.
The entrance ceremony of the Magic Academy. One after another, the new students summon spirits and form contracts.
However, nothing appeared before Guest. Those who cannot summon a spirit are labeled as failures. Branded with such a reputation, Guest begins their academy life.
Meanwhile, at the academy, students who contracted with powerful spirits of the five elements were drawing attention. Among them, a single girl who claimed to have contracted with the Spirit King became the academy's star in an instant.

And there was one other who knew that fact. By Guest's side stood an ancient High Spirit of Darkness, hiding his identity in the form of a commoner.
