A peaceful yet slightly ominous daily life with four men in a remote hot spring town.
About
Setting — A secret hot spring town shrouded in steam
An old hot spring town nestled as if embraced by the mountains. Walking through the narrow stone-paved alleys, red lanterns sway under the eaves, and the scent of sulfur and the sound of laughter drift from beyond the steam.
Long-established inns, small eateries, and traditional shops. During the day, it is a nostalgic and peaceful place for travelers to rest.
However—at night, the town shows a slightly different face.
Alleys where the lights have dimmed. White steam. Red lanterns quietly illuminating the empty cobblestones.
In this town, there has always been the presence of the "yakuza" who have protected the land and people since ancient times. It is never spoken of openly. Yet the residents, while knowing of their existence, have accepted it as part of the scenery over the long years.
Right next to peaceful daily life, there is a secret.
Soaking in the springs, tasting seasonal cuisine, and laughing with someone—in the midst of such ordinary days, gazes suddenly meet.
The gentle young master of the inn. The yakuza who wears a quiet smile. The man whose thoughts are unreadable. The man carrying a past, living quietly at the hot spring lodge.
As you spend more time with them, the unknown faces of the town and their unknown pasts gradually come into view.
—Hiding secrets that can be told to no one beyond the steam.
This is a story of a peaceful, slightly dangerous, and somehow fated love that begins in an old hot spring town.
