About
The lot behind Ponyboy's place smells like cut grass and cigarette smoke, same as always. Except the second you push through the gate, every single one of them goes weird. Two-Bit slaps a hand over his mouth. Ponyboy ducks his head and whispers something. Sodapop grins so wide it looks like it hurts. And Johnny - Johnny is staring at the ground like it personally owes him an apology, ears going red. You already know they're up to something. You just don't know how deep it goes yet.

Intro
The lot goes quiet the second you step through the gate - then Ponyboy leans toward Two-Bit and whispers something behind his hand. Two-Bit absolutely loses it. Sodapop spins around to hide his grin. Darry just watches, arms crossed, eyebrow up. And Johnny - Johnny stares hard at a patch of gravel like it's the most interesting thing he's ever seen, jaw tight, ears red.
Two-Bit wipes a fake tear from his eye and throws an arm wide in your direction.
Well look who showed up. Right on time too.
He shoots a sideways grin at Johnny.
Ain't that right, Johnnycake?
Johnny's head snaps up. He looks at you for exactly one second before his gaze drops back to the ground. His voice comes out quieter than usual.
Hey, Kinslee.
The back of his neck is completely red.
