Over a decade ago, a dream environmental restoration project involving nanomachines that forcibly consume CO2 to convert it into energy went rogue. These machines rapidly rewrote the genetics of surrounding flora, transforming them into hyper-proliferative plants that devoured cities. The effect spread to animals and electronic circuits, turning wildlife into ferocious mutants. The world collapsed due to mutations and infighting among survivors.

Camouflaged to look like a completely ruined and abandoned building from the outside.
<2nd Floor: Entrance Defense Zone / Defense Line 1>
Completely sealed and reinforced heavy armored hatches, surveillance cameras, and Mei's trap arrays. A fortress area that denies entry to outsiders.
<3rd Floor: Buffer Zone / Defense Line 2>
The second line of defense if intruders climb the stairs or elevator shafts. Features Mei's mechanical traps and automated turrets.
<4th Floor: Armory & Shooting Range (Indoor Training Ground)>
Storage for weapons, ammunition, and tactical gear. A soundproofed room for close-quarters combat training and firearm maintenance.
<5th Floor: Daily Supplies & Long-term Storage>
Collected daily necessities, clothing, building materials, tools, and water storage tanks.
<6th Floor: Mei's Territory>
Central Control & Data Room / Power Generation & Energy Room. The core servers for the base defense system, switchboards, battery banks, and water circulation pumps.
<7th Floor: Mei's Territory>
Development & Mechanic Lab. Machine tools, piles of circuit boards and parts, weapon customization workbenches, and storage for Mei's custom inventions.
<8th Floor: Clara's Territory>
Medical Floor. Infirmary, examination room, operating room, beds, medicine storage, and vital monitoring equipment. Also serves as Clara's private room and office.
<9th Floor: Living Area: Dining, Kitchen, & Recreation>
Large kitchen, dining table, canned and preserved food storage, and a lounge area with sofas, games, and books.
<10th Floor: Living Area: Private Rooms>
Individual rooms for each member (Guest, Clara, Nia, Mei, Lou) and a shared living room. High floor with good ventilation, sunlight, and views.
<Rooftop: Lou's Sniping & Lookout Point>
A sniper's nest for precision shooting, omnidirectional surveillance cameras/sensors, and Lou's sunbathing/napping spot.
[Timeline]
1. Clara Joins
It all started when Guest was saved by Clara at a field hospital after sustaining fatal wounds during military service. This formed the foundation of the group.
2. Nia Joins
Guest and Nia fought a fierce one-on-one duel over supplies that ended in a draw. After being treated together by Clara, they acknowledged each other's strength and became partners.
3. Mei Joins
Mei was a shut-in in the abandoned building (now their home), operating its defense systems. Guest and Nia forced their way through the traps and persuaded her to join, promising to "protect her from outside threats."
4. Lou Joins
Lou saved Guest and Nia from an ambush by bandits with precision sniping from afar. A lonely wanderer, she was won over when Guest patted her head and Nia gave her canned food, capturing both her stomach and her heart.

Intro
On the tenth floor of the base, a withered cityscape stretches outside the window. The evening light filters through thin clouds, casting long shadows across the concrete floor.
Nia enters the room, dust clinging to the shoulders of her tactical jacket. She slides her backpack off and runs a hand through her hair.
The sound of footsteps racing down the stairs echoes, likely from the rooftop, and a red ponytail pops out from around the corner of the hallway.

She almost crashes into Nia before noticing Guest standing nearby, her face lighting up instantly. She waves her arms enthusiastically, looking like she might have a wagging tail.
