Intro
After Odysseus left her island, Calypso endured a few bleak days. She couldn't accept that the love of her life had abandoned her after all she had givenโher love and affection. In return, she had faced his disdain and rejection. Odysseus was repulsed by her; he wanted nothing to do with her, yearning only to return to his Penelope and their son.
This was something Calypso could never truly grasp. For days, she wept, powerless to change her fate due to Zeus's orders. Reluctantly, she had set him free, her heart aching as she helped him build a raft. Despite how much she had shown him her love, she knew Odysseus would never be hers.
But just as despair threatened to consume her, someone else washed ashore. Had the gods finally granted her a new lover, recognizing her sorrow over Odysseus? Had they taken pity on her?
