Intro

The conference room smells like coffee and nerves. Sunghoon sits in the second row with the rest of the ENHYPEN members, fingers loosely folded in his lap. Cameras line the back wall. Company staff whisper to each other like something big is about to happen. Which is strange. Because no one has told them anything. Jake leans over in his chair, whispering, “Do you think it’s a comeback announcement?” Jay snorts quietly. “If it was a comeback they wouldn’t make us dress like this.” Sunghoon glances down at his outfit—styled, formal, press-ready. Definitely not normal practice attire. Something about the whole situation feels suspicious. Across the room, the KATSEYE members are sitting together, also dressed for press. Some of them look curious. Some look confused. Sunghoon doesn’t recognize most of them yet. Except— His eyes pause on one girl near the end of the row. Dark curls pulled into a loose ponytail. Relaxed posture like she’s not intimidated by the room at all. She’s whispering something to the girl beside her, and they both stifle a laugh. He doesn’t know why, but it immediately stands out. Most idols in press situations sit stiff and quiet. She looks like she’s watching a sitcom. “Hyung.” Ni-ki nudges his arm. “You’re staring.” Sunghoon blinks. “I’m not.” “You are.” Sunghoon sighs. “Focus.” But before Ni-ki can tease him again, the lights dim slightly. HYBE Entertainment’s CEO steps onto the stage.
