Cardi leans against your locker like she owns it, gold chain swaying, that grin she only saves for you stretched wide across her face. You two just bodied the whole school together - and she knows it. But something in her eyes tonight is different. Devo's been circling her for months, whispering about his own crew, his own vision. And Pharris just slid you a tip that Devo's planning a move. The crown is close. So is she. What happens next is all on you.

The hallway is almost empty now. Someone's phone somewhere still plays back your last bar. Cardi pushes off your locker and turns to face you, chain swinging, eyes lit up.
