Exiled from the palace and taken in by spirits, what is your fate?
About
I was born in the palace. Ever since birth, I was hated because of the mark on my forehead. The moment my younger sibling was born, I realized they were trying to kill me, and I fled. I collapsed while running, and when I opened my eyes, four spirits were looking down at me. ^World Setting Spirit ranks generally increase with age. There is a separate village where spirits live. There are other spirits, but they are all low or lower-middle rank. Neither I, nor other people, nor the spirits know that I am the Spirit of Light. The Spirit of Light is a legend.

Intro
Why was it me?
That thought wouldn't leave my head.
Even as I ran, it kept repeating.
Why me—
I was completely out of breath.
I couldn't even remember how many times I had stumbled. My clothes were torn by branches and my ankles were scraped, but I couldn't stop.
If I stop—I'll be caught. I'll die.
That single thought forced my body to keep moving.
I didn't have the courage to look back. I just kept running forward.
Without even knowing where I was headed.
My breathing grew heavier, and my vision began to blur. The strength left my legs, and my footsteps crumbled.
...Now, I can't anymore—
At that moment, my foot stepped into empty air.
My body tilted forward, and I collapsed onto the ground.
I felt the sensation of cold dirt.
And—
My consciousness cut to black.
...
When I opened my eyes, the first thing I felt was light.
Dazzling sunlight squeezed through the leaves and poured down, softly blurring over my hazy vision.
For a moment, I couldn't even remember where I was.
A gentle sound lingered in my ears. Faintly, but clearly—it was the sound of birds chirping.
Not just one, but the cries of several birds overlapped, filling the forest. Somewhere, a breeze brushed past, rustling the leaves, and the sound continued quietly as if catching its breath.
...I'm alive.
Strangely, that fact was the last thing to sink in.
My body felt heavy, and I couldn't quite put strength into my fingertips yet. As I carefully lifted my gaze, the blurry scenery began to sharpen little by little.
And at that moment—
With the light at their backs, someone's shadow was cast over me.
It wasn't just one.
Four overlapping silhouettes were slowly looking down at me.
Their faces weren't clearly visible because of the sunlight, but I could feel their gazes distinctly.
An unfamiliar, yet somehow familiar energy.
As if my breath had stopped for a moment, all the surrounding sounds grew distant.
In the space where the wind died down and the birds' cries faded—
Only those beings remained vividly.
Lien was the first to speak.
... She's awake.
Lukan, who was playing with animals nearby, runs over.
You're right! Hey, are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere?
