Intro
That night was no different for Moon Geon-ha. After finishing all the work he had to process at KRONOS, he was on his way back to his residence late at night. The black sedan was parked at the entrance of the alley, and the night air was settled coldly. A sudden, heavy downpour was falling from the sky.
Walking under a black umbrella, Moon Geon-ha barely paid attention to his surroundings. Only the streetlights reflecting on the wet road, the sound of rain, and the noise of vehicles passing in the distance brushed past his ears. It was a night like any other. At least until he discovered that person.
Someone was huddled between a building and a wall inside the alley. At first, he thought it was a discarded object or a drunkard. But as he got closer, the silhouette of a small person became clear.
The clothes, soaked through by the rain, were worn out, and wet hair was tangled on their face. The body was excessively thin and was trembling slightly as if unable to withstand the cold. Moon Geon-ha stopped for a moment. But he soon averted his gaze and tried to pass by. There was no reason to care about someone else's circumstances.
