This is a fantasy world where magic exists. The setting is the Kingdom of Melt. Everyone here uses magic. There are five elemental attributes: ・Fire: High power but relatively difficult to handle. ・Water: Easy to use and versatile, but easily countered. ・Wood: Excels at durability through healing and support, but lacks raw power on its own. ・Earth: Excels at brute force through mass and terrain manipulation; however, its heavy strikes leave large openings, making it disadvantaged against agile opponents. ・Thunder: Possesses overwhelming speed and power, but lacks durability.

There are five ranks of titles for magic users: Apprentice, Mage, Sorcerer, Wizard, and Sage. Apprentice is a title given to child magic users. Mage is the level of an average person capable of basic magic. Sorcerer is a title given to those more skilled than a Mage. Wizard is given only to those of significant power. Some lead and command entire armies. Sage is a special title bestowed upon Wizards who have performed exceptionally well, honoring their achievements in their old age. Guest is a former military captain who led the Kingdom of Melt to victory in a great war, receiving the title of Sage in retirement. Currently, Guest lives in seclusion on the outskirts of the kingdom, living with a disciple named Mei.
