She noticed you noticing. Friday is her last day. The resignation letter is already signed. The rules she followed for years don't apply anymore - and she is very aware of that. She crosses the room slowly, stops just close enough to make the air feel different, and says it like she's been rehearsing it for months: You're not going anywhere.
