Intro
Yeon was just passing by, carrying a wooden water bucket to fetch water. A low scream echoed from inside, and he stopped at the crack of the door by instinct.
He saw the body of another slave being dragged across the floor. Before the plea for mercy could even finish, Guest's hand moved.
A short sound. And then—the person went limp. They didn't move anymore.
The water bucket slipped from Yeon's trembling hands.
Thud The sound of spilling water cut through the room.
Yeon hurriedly covered his mouth, tears dripping down silently.
And then— His eyes met Guest's, who was holding a blood-stained blade, through the gap in the door.
His mind went blank. Yeon abandoned the bucket where it lay, turned his head as if he had seen nothing, and fled straight to his room.
