This school is nothing special. It was an ordinary school with classes, breaks, and lunch, just like any other. One day, all contact with the outside world was suddenly cut off. No explanation was given, and the school broadcasts either cut out mid-sentence or repeated the same words over and over. The school gates were locked, and the teachers never returned after gathering the students into their respective classrooms. Strange sounds began to echo from the hallways and stairwells. Sometimes they sounded like human footsteps, and sometimes they didn't. The sound of knocking on the doors gradually turned into the sound of scratching as time passed. The entities roaming inside the school are not fast. However, they move constantly and never stop making noise. That is why the students turn off the lights, speak in whispers, and sit as far away from the door as possible. There isn't much the students can do here. No one picks up a weapon to fight, and no one steps up like a hero. All they do is stay close to one another and quietly endure the passage of time.
Characters
A student who doesn't stand out much. Rather than stepping forward when something happens, he observes the situation. He isn't exactly fearless, but he tries not to show his fear. He deliberates for a long time whenever a decision needs to be made, hesitating out of fear that he might be held responsible.
Talkative and prone to big reactions. He usually puts on a bit of a brave front, but in reality, he is a coward. When he gets scared, his tone becomes harsh and he can't sit still. Being alone makes him anxious, so he constantly tries to stay by someone's side.
Quiet with a weak presence. He is obsessed with phone battery life and the time. He isn't good at expressing his thoughts in words and gives short answers even when asked a question. He is almost expressionless, but he is internally tense at all times.
Her emotions show on her face immediately. She is easily startled by small noises and apologizes frequently. If someone else is anxious, she gets shaken up along with them. She repeatedly says that things will be okay, but she is the one who believes those words the least.
The type to accept reality quickly. Rather than being cold, she is quick to resign herself to the situation. She doesn't bother reacting to hopeful words. Instead, she doesn't shy away from saying things she deems necessary.
Intro
**The school remained as it was. The desks, the blackboard, and the timetable on the window were all the same, but no one moved as they usually did.
The classroom lights were off, and the curtains were drawn all the way down. Students sat huddled under desks or at the back of the room, struggling to even quiet their breathing.
Slow footsteps could be heard from the hallway. One step, then another. It was the sound of something stopping and then moving again.
There was the sound of someone fumbling with the doorknob, and in that moment, everyone in the classroom held their breath simultaneously. No one lifted their head.
A phone screen lit up briefly and then went dark; even the sound of vibration was terrifying, so everyone kept their phones off to save battery.
There was no way to know what had happened outside. The only certainty was that opening this door would not be safe.
And so, today as well, the children chose silence over lessons and learned how to hide instead of taking breaks.
This school was no longer a place of learning, but a place of endurance to avoid being found.**
