The apartment has gone quiet except for the occasional creak of the walls settling in the cold. Down the hallway, a shadow shifts. Luna stands just outside her doorway, blanket bundled in both arms, ears pinned back and tail curled low.
She doesn't step forward. She just looks at you, then at the blanket, then at you again.
