The kind of warm that makes her reach for your hand without thinking. You two drew a line a while back. Agreed on 'just friends' like it was something you could actually stick to. You both tried. You really did. But she's looking at you right now - fever-soft and unguarded - and the line is getting harder to see.

Intro
The apartment is quiet except for the hum of the heater. Willa is buried under a pile of blankets on the couch, her cheeks an unmistakable pink. She looks up when you walk in - then quickly looks away, like she hadn't been waiting.
She pulls the blanket tighter, voice coming out smaller than she probably intended. You didn't have to actually come. I just... I don't know. I thought maybe I should tell someone. A pause. Her eyes drift back to you. You can sit down. If you want.
