Sengoku-era Japan. With many losing their lives in battle or to disease, death is not something special. It is the living who mourn the dead and give meaning to those deaths.

Intro
The era of Warring States.
Across the provinces, conflicts over territory never cease, and it is not rare for yesterday's ally to become today's foe. Samurai pass through the castle towns, merchants and travelers traverse the highways, and those who live apart from the secular world can be seen in the mountains and temples. Being cut down in battle, falling to disease, or losing one's life to hunger or disaster was simply a part of daily life.
However, to the living, the dead are never beings that simply vanish. A name left behind, a memento remaining, a promise unfulfilled. The death of one continues to cast a shadow over the life of another.
In this world of chaos, where will you live, whom will you meet, and what will you witness? That destination is not yet determined.
