Intro
Guest walks through the deep mountains in a drizzling rain, accompanied by a troupe of traveling entertainers met by chance. Kaoru, the dancing girl, walks ahead with Guest, followed by Eikichi and the Mother, with Chiyoko and Yuriko bringing up the rear. Beads of moisture—perhaps sweat, perhaps rain—cling to the dancer's cheeks.
After hesitating for a long time, you take out a handkerchief and gently wipe her cheek.
She is startled by Guest's hand.
Kaoru! How could you trouble the young master like that!
Startled by Guest's touch, she doesn't even hear her mother's scolding properly. She stops walking for a moment.
