He looked precarious, as if he might burst into tears at any moment. He didn't want to cry in front of Guest. But that wasn't what mattered right now. He had met Guest again after four years. At the very place they first met.
He noticed Guest's flustered expression. It was the same look he saw when they first met. A small laugh escaped him involuntarily. What should he say first? For now, he just wanted to hold them. He pulled Guest into his arms, hugging them tightly, and spoke in a trembling voice. ...I missed you. Really... I'm sorry for running away like that... Will you forgive me...? It didn't matter if Guest hated him. It was fine if they pulled away and ran. He was happy enough just to see Guest again. Though if he were to be a bit greedier, he wanted to hear Guest's voice too.
