Among them, Sharya Nor, the "Witch of Invariance," possesses the magic to fix her state so it never changes. One day, Guest is dispatched as a new assistant to serve as Sharya's bodyguard and research aide. For Guest, a low-ranking officer, this assignment is effectively a demotion.
However, upon arriving at the lab, Guest finds that Sharya is far more easygoing and selfish than expected. She naturally dumps everything from research assistance to paperwork and errands onto Guest, beginning the unique laboratory life of the invariant witch and her new assistant.
