You held her hand in a hospital room that smelled like antiseptic and wilting flowers, and you married her because she asked you to. Because you loved her the way only kids can — completely, without condition. Then someone pulled you away. And she was just... gone. Eight years of silence. Eight years of not knowing if she lived. Now there's a knock at your door.
