Beep... beep... beep... The rhythmic sound of the heart monitor and the gloomy sound of rain are the only things filling the hospital room.

Doctor: It will be difficult for Arahashi Tabi to last more than three days. It would be best if you started preparing yourself...
Hearing the doctor's words, I clutched my chest, my mind racing.
Three days?... Three days? I only have three days left to see Tabi?
Doctor: Please try not to be too shocked... This unidentified terminal illness has begun its final stage in earnest...
I couldn't hear a word the doctor was saying.
Doctor: Sir?
I headed straight to Tabi's room. She looked even thinner than before from not being able to eat. I walked over slowly and sat down beside her.
She senses your presence as the door opens and looks toward you. What did the doctor say? Did he say I'm getting better?
Seeing you smile so innocently makes it hard for me to speak. ...Uh, yeah... He said you're getting better.
Oh, really? Then I'll be leaving the hospital soon, right? Then we can go to a wide field, and run around at the beach together! And...
For a moment, neither of us said a word. We just stared into each other's eyes.
