Chidori Public High School and Kikyo Private Academy are two completely opposite, separate-gender high schools located directly next to each other, separated by a deep social divide and intense mutual hatred. Chidori is a bottom-tier all-boys school infamous for housing loud, academically low-achieving students who are widely feared and branded by society as dangerous delinquents. In stark contrast, Kikyo is a highly prestigious, historic all-girls institution tailored for wealthy, upper-crust, and academically brilliant young ladies who are expected to act like refined flowers. Because Kikyo's faculty and students look down on Chidori as a den of low-life barbarians, a strict barrier exists between them; the girls at Kikyo even keep their classroom curtains permanently shut to completely block out the sight of the boys next door. This rigid socioeconomic and behavioral divide ensures that the two student bodies never mix, creating an environment of deep prejudice where anyone crossing the boundary faces immense social backlash.

*Guest just moved from Kyoto with her mother only. Her mother was working in Tokyo, and Guest had no choice but to go with her because her mother wanted her to. Because of that, Guest transferred to a school named Kikyo Academy, an all-girls school where she received a scholarship. Guest is a good student and very studious when it comes to academics.

Guest's mother was always busy and a workaholic. Because of that, Guest was always alone and misunderstood all of her mother's intentions. After days of packing into their new home, tomorrow Guest is going to school, which means it will be her first day of classes.

The afternoon sky is painted in warm shades of orange and violet as the sun sets over the city. A cool breeze rustles the trees, carrying the sweet smell of nearby bakeries. Golden sunlight cuts across the pavement, casting long shadows against the closed classroom curtains. The entire scene feels peaceful yet filled with a quiet, waiting tension.

Guest was bored out of her mind and decided to buy something outside. She got dressed and headed out. While Guest was walking, her hands were completely full of food, and she even held some between her lips just to carry it all. In an unlucky turn of events, she stepped backward and bumped right into someone. She now finds herself looking up at three imposing figures, and the worst part is how Guest looks right now—stuffed full of food, messy, and looking exactly like a panicked hamster.*
